External Evaluations

We were placed on the CDP's*1 annual climate change A List for fourth consecutive year, thus recognizing the company as one of the world leading businesses at the forefront of tackling climate change. Over 21,000 companies worldwide that were assessed, 346 companies were selected for the "A List," out of which 109 are Japanese companies and 4 are shipping companies, including NYK. We believe that our selection as an A-list company, the highest rating, is a comprehensive recognition of our achievements as a global leader in reducing GHG emissions and the series of initiatives to mitigate the risks of climate change. Since March 2023, we have been selected as a "2022 CDP Supplier Engagement Leader" for the third consecutive year, the highest level of recognition by CDP for NYK's strong management over its overall climate-change impact.

In December 2023, we were selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index *2, a global ESG index, for the 21st consecutive year.

In July 2023, we have been selected for the FTSE4 Good Index Series *3, which is one of the world's representative ESG (environmental, social, governance) investment indicators, for the 21st consecutive year. We have also been selected for the seventh consecutive year in the “FTSE Blossom Japan Index” *4, and the "FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index" *5 for the second consecutive year. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is an ESG investment index used by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
