Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and the Yusen Logistics Group (YL) jointly exhibited at the 2026 International Space Industry Exhibition (ISIEX) held in Tokyo from January 28 to 30.

ISIEX is one of Japan's largest international exhibitions dedicated to the space industry. The exhibition highlights Japan's advanced technologies and services on a global stage while fostering industry collaboration. It is held against the backdrop of the space industry's international growth and Japan's expanding market, amplified by initiatives such as the establishment of the Japanese government's Space Strategy Fund and public-private technology development efforts. Company and institution representatives from a wide range of fields — including rocket launches, space life support, satellite manufacturing, and lunar exploration — engaged with domestic and international visitors throughout the exhibition.

At the joint booth, NYK presented its pioneering initiatives for space business development, including offshore rocket launches, the recovery of first-stage rockets at sea, and the use of satellite data, highlighting the company’s expertise in maritime and space integration.

Meanwhile, YL detailed its role in providing comprehensive logistics services for the space industry, covering procurement of satellite and rocket components, production, and transportation of finished products. Relevant case studies highlighted how YL can leverage its robust global logistics network.

The booth attracted many visitors, who discussed potential joint development in space ventures and made specific inquiries regarding logistics and transportation services.
