Yusen Logistics Global Management Co., Ltd.
Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and Yusen Logistics Group (YL) jointly exhibited for the first time at Space Approach EXPO 2025 (“Space Approach”), a space-focused exhibition held as part of Messe Nagoya 2025 (“Messe Nagoya”), one of Japan’s largest cross-industry trade fairs, held in Nagoya from November 5 to 7.
Space Approach showcased the latest technologies and initiatives in the space industry, including rockets and satellites, and was featured as a special exhibition within Messe Nagoya. Since its launch in 2006, Messe Nagoya has served as a key platform for business expansion, information exchange, and cross-industry collaboration, attracting exhibitors and visitors from a wide range of sectors and regions. The event has continually built on the values of environmental stewardship, scientific innovation, and international exchange that were set in motion at the 2005 World Expo in Aichi Prefecture, of which Nagoya is the capital. This year, the event attracted approximately 50,000 visitors.
At a joint booth, NYK and YL showcased space business initiatives under the theme "New Possibilities Unlocked by the Fusion of Ocean and Space: Taking on the Space Business." The exhibit introduced NYK’s efforts in space business development (see related link below) and showcased YL’s comprehensive logistics solutions for the space industry, covering the entire supply chain — from satellite and rocket parts procurement to production and finished products logistics, highlighting the vital role of logistics in supporting the space sector.

Speakers included Daisuke Suga, manager of the Advanced Tech and Space Business Development Team within NYK’s Innovation Promotion Group, and Hiroyuki Ushioda, manager of the Aerospace Sales Sec. in YL’s Industry Department 1.
In a fully packed venue, they discussed the potential and examples of cross-industry participation in the space business, as well as the challenges and outlook for private companies entering the space sector.
