NYK Holds Global NYK Group Week 2025
Strengthening NYK Global Network Through Training for Local Employees
From December 1 to 5, NYK held Global NYK Group Week 2025, a training program at the Tokyo head office for 16 nominated employees from NYK Group companies based overseas.
The training program’s goals are to build global networks within the Group, reaffirm the Group’s mission, vision, and values,* and increase commitment to business operations and Group engagement through direct dialogue with the NYK president and management.

Participants engaged in collaborative group work and leadership training sessions focused on innovation, all hosted by the NYK Digital Academy.** They also took part in group discussions on global strategies for achieving the vision within the MVV framework, actively exchanging views with executives, including President Takaya Soga.
On the final day, the participants toured Shikoku to learn more about the roots of the NYK Group. Participants visited Kotohira-gu, more familiarly known as “Kompira-san,” a Shinto shrine dedicated to safe navigation for seafarers. The group also stopped at the birthplace of Yataro Iwasaki, the founder of the Mitsubishi Mail Steamship Company, the forerunner of the NYK Group. These visits enabled the participants to deepen their understanding of the NYK Group's mission, “Bringing value to life.”
