NYK Recognized by CDP as Supplier Engagement Leader for Fifth Consecutive Year

NYK has been selected as a "Supplier Engagement Leader"* — the highest recognition awarded based on a supplier engagement assessment (SEA) conducted in 2024 by the international environmental nonprofit CDP.** This is the fifth consecutive year for NYK to receive this accolade.

Organizations are evaluated on their supplier engagement through their responses to questions in five key areas of the CDP climate change questionnaire: risk management processes, governance and business strategy, supplier engagement, Scope 3 emissions accounting, and targets. The selection recognizes companies that have excelled in addressing climate change throughout their supply chains.***

As announced on February 7, NYK was recognized by CDP as an "A-List" company for climate change for a fifth consecutive year.

With the cooperation of various stakeholders, including customers, the NYK Group is actively engaged in various initiatives to save fuel and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. These include promoting the use of LNG as a marine fuel and advancing research and demonstration projects focused on the practical application of hydrogen, ammonia, and other zero-emission fuels. As a corporate group that continues to contribute to society and achieve sustainable growth, we will continue to accelerate our efforts with our stakeholders and take the lead in decarbonizing the entire global supply chain.
