NYK Provides Support to Organizations Addressing COVID-19 Related Challenges

Following its donation of medical oxygen cylinders to India in June, NYK has given a total of 71 million yen (approximately 642,069.09 USD )to 15 funds and organizations to help address medical and economic challenges caused by the spread of COVID-19. Organizations receiving donations include the Seafarers International Relief Fund, UNICEF COVID-19 Vaccine Global Access (COVAX), The Nippon Foundation, Médecins Sans Frontières COVID-19 CRISIS FUND.

Through the 15 organizations, NYK is providing support to seafarers and their families, who have been affected by movement restrictions in various countries, in addition to medical professionals and those requiring medical care and to families and children in need due to the spread of the new coronavirus. NYK will also provide support to organizations with which it regularly collaborates in social contribution activities so that those organizations can maintain their existing activities.

NYK will continue to promote ESG management and contribute to the realization of a better global society as a good corporate citizen.
