MTI Co., Ltd., the technology research and development company of the NYK Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan to formalize and expand cooperation in maritime and shipbuilding research and education.

The agreement establishes a five-year framework to expand joint research projects, promote researcher exchanges, and strengthen collaboration in the shipbuilding sector between the United States and Japan.
