As the use of ammonia‑fueled vessels expands, it becomes increasingly critical — just as with conventional vessels — to accurately monitor onboard equipment and detect early signs of potential abnormalities.

One highly effective method for achieving this is condition monitoring through the analysis of engine lubricating oil. Because lubricating oil reflects the internal condition of an engine, analyzing it allows for early detection of potential abnormalities.

Building on extensive verification trials, NYK and Nippon Yuka have developed the technical expertise required to realize a lubricating‑oil analysis service for monitoring the condition of ammonia‑fueled engines.
