The faculty of Ocean Science and Technology, located at the Fukae Campus of Kobe University, traces its origins to the Kawasaki Merchant Marine School, established in 1917. It has long been dedicated to cultivating future “global leaders of the sea” and “experts of the sea” in Japan, a maritime nation.
By acquiring the naming rights for this facility, NYK aims to make our group more accessible to students who will shape the future of the shipping industry and to support the enhancement of educational and research environments.
