On December 10, NYK Group subsidiary Yusen Logistics Global Management Co., Ltd. announced that Yusen Logistics (Europe) B.V., an overseas subsidiary of the Yusen Logistics Group, has acquired all shares of Movianto International B.V. (“Movianto”), a company under the Walden Group, completing the acquisition of the Walden Group’s healthcare logistics businesses, including Eurotranspharma, Transpharma International, and Walden Digital.

Movianto, Eurotranspharma, Transpharma International, and Walden Digital collectively operate 138 sites across 12 European countries, delivering high-quality transportation services for pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Through this acquisition, the Yusen Logistics Group aims to meet the increasingly sophisticated logistics needs of the growing healthcare industry and provide high-value-added services.

As outlined in our medium-term management plan announced in March 2023, our group has positioned logistics as a core business segment and a priority investment area. We have continued to invest in logistics, acquiring an e-commerce logistics platform company in the UK in February 2024 and an auto parts distribution company in the Netherlands in April 2024.
This acquisition significantly expands the scope of services offered by our logistics business and strengthens our business foundation.
