The NYK Group has acquired the naming rights for a lounge located on the first floor of Etchujima Hall at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT). The facility has been designated as the "NYK Group Lounge."

At the December 15 opening ceremony, distinguished guests — including TUMSAT President Toshio Iseki and NYK Managing Executive Officer Hisaya Higuchi — marked the unveiling of the facility with great enthusiasm.

Established in 2003 through the merger of Tokyo University of Mercantile Marine and Tokyo University of Fisheries, TUMSAT has contributed to the development of the shipping industry by advancing research in marine fields and cultivating and producing outstanding maritime professionals.

By acquiring the naming rights for this facility, NYK aims to make our Group more accessible to students who will shape the future of the shipping industry and to support the enhancement of educational and research environments.
