NYK has recently overhauled its internal system infrastructure by implementing multiple advanced solutions, including SAP S/4HANA® Cloud Public Edition*, a cloud-based integrated core business system; Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik**, a unified platform for finance and management control; and others aimed at standardizing and streamlining operations***. This initiative will strengthen data-driven management**** centered on data-based decision-making and accelerate the shift toward advanced decision-making tasks through AI utilization.

In the shipping and logistics industry, rapid decision-making and data-driven management are increasingly essential to respond to intensifying global competition and uncertain business environments. To address these challenges, our company launched a management infrastructure renewal project. This initiative aims to utilize cloud-based systems that can be continuously updated, replacing traditional systems that deteriorate over time, thereby ensuring access to the latest technologies over the long term, even after deployment.

Centered around SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and Wolters Kluwer CCH Tagetik, we implemented various advanced solutions to drive the following reforms:

1. We integrated finance and accounting functions to establish a robust foundation for advanced planning and analysis in management oversight.
2. We enhanced system interconnectivity and data utilization by streamlining invoice processing, enabling rapid development and deployment of business applications and centralizing data management.
3. We continuously transformed operations in tandem with the evolution of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, creating a platform that consistently leverages the latest technologies.
4. We systematized internal regulations and established mechanisms to support ongoing operations post-transformation.
5. We concurrently advanced multiple projects to facilitate organizational and operational changes while developing human resources, thereby increasing acceptance of the transformation across the company.

Our company aims to advance the automation of routine tasks through the standardization of business processes and the utilization of AI. Additionally, we seek to build a system where humans and AI collaborate to generate new value. Furthermore, based on data-driven decision-making, we will promote the deepening of existing core businesses and the development of new growth areas in line with our medium-term management plan "Sail Green, Drive Transformations 2026," thereby further strengthening our efforts to enhance corporate value.
