New Innovations Transform Crystal Symphony

October 14, 2014

Fitness Garden

Crystal Symphony, one of the award-winning luxury cruise ships operated by Crystal Cruises, a wholly owned subsidiary of NYK, has emerged from two weeks in dry dock sporting technological upgrades, contemporary and elegant new designs, and lushly reimagined spaces, indoors and out.

We continue to invest in creating a contemporary and sumptuous environment that meets the travelers’ desire, says Crystal President and COO, Edie Rodriguez. The new features and spaces added during this dry dock are astounding, and offer our guests the relaxed, yet luxurious comfort that they have come to expect and enjoy on Crystal Cruises.

Highlights of the intensive redesign include the following:

Crystal Plaza

Fitness spaces – A brand new outdoor Fitness Garden spanning several decks, and a new indoor fitness experience featuring top-of-the-line, technologically advanced equipment and interfaces.

Crystal Plaza – Completely renovated main lobby area featuring new tones, carpets, upholstery, and tables around a towering new waterfall.

Cove Bar – New furniture, drapery, artwork, and custom carpet reflecting a fluid and flowing design amid an elegant luxury-yacht setting.

Other upgrades include more open, accessible spaces, new seating and décor at The Bistro, one of the most popular meeting and dining spots on the ship, and new hypoallergenic rooms, ensuring relief from allergies and a sounder sleep.

The NYK Group will continue its efforts to formulate creative solutions that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.
