Open-hatch bulk carriers
NYK's open-hatch bulk carriers are operated by SAGA Forest Carriers International AS in Norway (hereinafter SAGA). SAGA is an international ocean shipping company specializing in the transportation of forest products. SAGA is currently operating a fleet of 24 sophisticated open-hatch bulk carriers and 3 new buildings will join in 2012, 5 in 2013, and 2 in 2016.

Reefer carriers
The reefer vessel fleet of NYK is operated by NYKCool AB, located in Stockholm (HQ), a subsidiary of NYK Reefers Limited. NYKCool AB operates a fleet of approximately 35 reefer vessels suitable to carry perishable cargo such as fruits.
