G6 Alliance Announces Asia - North America Service Enhancements

In response to market demand, members of the G6 Alliance today announced the below enhancement to improve the Asia – North America (East Coast) trade.
NYK will continue to make every effort to improve its quality and reliability to respond to the diversifying needs of customers.
Additional Halifax Call
The AZX (Asia Suez Express) service will be upgraded to include an additional Halifax call. This move is expected to improve transit times from Canada to Asian and Mediterranean ports as well as from Asian and Mediterranean ports to New York. The new port rotation will be as follows:
Laem Chabang – Singapore – Colombo – Damietta – Cagliari – Halifax – New York – Savannah – Norfolk – Halifax (new) – Cagliari – Damietta – Jebel Ali – Singapore – Laem Chabang
Effective from the following voyage: Budapest Express BUX 029E, ETA Laem Chabang July 6, 2015, ETA Halifax Aug 4, 2015.
The G6 Alliance offers a variety of services between Asia and Europe, between Asia and North America, and across the Atlantic covering all major port pairs with weekly sailings.
The G6 Alliance members include APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha, and Orient Overseas Container Line.
