NYK has been awarded WICI* Japan Prize for Excellence in the Integrated Reporting for the company’s 2014 NYK Report. NYK corporate officer Noriko Miyamoto was presented with the award and a commemorate gift at a ceremony in Tokyo on December 4.

This award was established in 2013 to recognize companies that create superior reports clearly specifying the future direction of the company, financial and non-financial data, and activities to improve corporate value.

Reports eligible for consideration include annual reports, CSR reports, integrated reports, and the like published prior to the end of October 2014. Among 152 companies, mostly those listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, WICI Japan selected five to be recognized as outstanding, and NYK was one of those.

NYK will continue to proactively address the challenges in society as a good corporate citizen and contribute to the achievement of a sustainable global society through efforts to keep NYK’s stakeholders easily informed of the company’s activities.
