NYK Holds Its Second Global Group Values Meeting

November 13, 2009

On November 11, NYK held its second NYK Group Values 3 I’s World Meeting to introduce and discuss activities for embodying the NYK Group Values and to share experiences of these values being used in daily work activities.

As the NYK Group has become more global, NYK has established the group’s three values—integrity, innovation, and Intensity—for the purpose of sharing among NYK Group companies the NYK spirit that has existed since the company’s formation over 120 years ago and subsequently realizing the NYK Group mission statement.

Fourteen representatives of the NYK Group from nine different countries came together in Tokyo to take part in the event. During his opening speech, NYK president Yasumi Kudo encouraged those attending to make a success of the occasion and emphasized the importance of the NYK Group Values in daily work activities. NYK corporate officers Kazuo Ogasawara and Masahiro Samitsu also made presentations to those assembled.

The NYK Group will continue to emphasize its 3 I’s in all employee activities in order to realize safe and dependable monohakobi (transport) for better service to customers.
