NYK Logistics (Thailand) Recognized for Its Safe Operations

On January 16, NYK Logistics (Thailand) Co. Ltd. was given an award by its chief customer, the SCG-Dow Group, which is the Thai arm of Dow Chemical, in recognition of seven years of accident-free operations at NYK’s Maptaphut Logistics Center (MTPLC).
The MTPLC, a division of NYK Logistics (Thailand) launched in 1998, has a 36,000-square-meter warehouse and a 7,400-square-meter container yard. The center provides warehousing and transportation, including tank lorry operations, to customers chiefly in chemical industries.
The MTPLC places great emphasis on safety and has even passed an SCG-Dow Group audit that was based on the SQAS.*
NYK Logistics (Thailand) will continue to make every effort to maintain its safe operations.
* Introduced by the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC), the SQAS (Safety & Quality Assessment System) is used to audit logistics providers. Audits are conducted by third parties and emphasize quality, safety, and preservation of the environment.
