HRH Prince Philippe of Belgium Visits NYK

Sixth: HRH Prince Philippe of the Kingdom of Belgium,
Seventh: NYK chairman Koji Miyahara
On June 12, HRH Prince Philippe of the Kingdom of Belgium; Didier Reynders, deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs, foreign trade, and European affairs; and accompanying delegates visited the NYK head office and met with NYK chairman Koji Miyahara, president Yasumi Kudo, and board counselor Takao Kusakari. NYK Group company representatives were also in attendance and included Yusen Logistics chairman Shunichi Yano and Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) president Tetsufumi Otsuki.
Mr. Kudo offered his appreciation for the support of the NYK Group’s businesses in Belgium, emphasized the admiration so many have for the country as a European logistics hub, and stressed NYK’s desire to strengthen the automobile terminal, bulk shipping, and logistics businesses the group has in Belgium. Prince Philippe mentioned that the contribution made to the Belgian economy and the employment brought to the country by the NYK Group have resulted in greater friendship between Japan and Belgium.
