Shougang Group Leader Visits NYK

On December 19, Zhu Jimin, chairman of the Shougang Group, and three other delegates visited the NYK head office and met NYK president Koji Miyahara, vice president Hiromitsu Kuramoto, managing corporate officer Hidenori Hono, and corporate officer Takao Ito. The Shougang Group was established in 1919 and produced 12.86 million tons of steel in 2007. NYK has a 16-year long-term transportation contract with the company.
At the meeting, President Miyahara expressed both his gratitude for the long-term contract with the Shougang Group and his hopes for strengthening relations between the two companies. Shougang’s chairman Zhu thanked NYK for its stable long-term transportation and spoke of his outlook for the development of both companies.
