NYK Holds Global Group Values Meeting

On November 11, NYK held its first NYK Group Values 3 I's World Meeting to introduce and discuss activities for disseminating the NYK Group Values of integrity, innovation, and intensity, and to share experiences of these values materializing in daily work activities.

NYK was founded in 1885, and during the early years of the company, Japanese dominated the company workforce. Today however, more than 80 percent of group staff members are from outside Japan.

In order to share the NYK spirit that has existed since the company's formation over 120 years ago, NYK president Koji Miyahara established in January 2007 the group's three primary values.

At the world meeting, 33 participants representing 23 parts of the worldwide NYK Group joined together in Tokyo to take part in the event. During his opening speech, Miyahara encouraged those attending to make a success of the occasion. Yasumi Kudo, executive vice-president, and Hiroshi Sekine, managing corporate officer, also made presentations to the assembly.

NYK will continue to emphasize these three I's for all employee activities, particularly those involving customer service.
