NYK included in FTSE4Good for Six Consecutive Years
Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) was recently selected for the FTSE4Good Global Index, marking the sixth straight year that NYK has been incorporated into a major yardstick for socially responsible investment (SRI).

UK-based FTSE Group's the FTSE4Good Global Index is one of two leading indexes referred to by investors concerned with corporate social responsibility criteria when they decide investments. The other major index is the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index.

Companies comprising the FTSE4Good Global Index are selected from among 2,400 listed firms in 23 countries, based on independent international standards of corporate environmental sustainability and social responsibility. Of the approximate 900 enterprises listed in the FTSE4Good Global Index, 193 are Japanese companies (as of June 2008).
