VLCC Takayama Safe after Attack in the Gulf of Aden (6)

・NK Surveyor and Others
An inspector from NK arrived in Aden on April 24 and boarded Takayama at 1140 local time to inspect for damage. The person sent by TMM, the ship-management company for Takayama, also arrived at Aden at 8:00 p.m. on April 24 local time.

・Repairs to Takayama
After inspection, it has been found that there is no damage other than the hole on the port side near the stern of the ship which we have noticed. The inspector confirmed that the hole is about 20-millimeter.

・After repairing
Damage of Takayama will be temporarily repaired, and afterward the NK surveyor will inspect and certify the vessel's navigability. Takayama is scheduled to depart from Aden on April 27 (Japan time).
