NYK Chartered M/V Alpha Action Involved in Collision with Containership (Update)

According to the owner of M/V Alpha Action, a Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha?chartered vessel involved in a collision with containership M/V Wan Hai 307 on July 27 at 01:50 local time, the two vessels continued to drift at a location of 50 kilometers east of Katsuura in Chiba Prefecture, and on July 29 at 5:00 local time, tugboats separated the two vessels.

After being checked by the Japan Coast Guard, M/V Wan Hai 307 will be towed by tugboat and M/V Alpha Action will sail to a dock for repair.

M/V Alpha Action was heading to Chile to load cargo and had no cargo on board when the collision occurred.
