Changes in Top Management (Including Representative Directors)

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) reached an agreement in a board meeting held today on changes to its lineup of directors, corporate officers, effective April 1, 2007. The company also approved a new lineup of directors and corporate officers to be referred to the 120th ordinary general meeting of shareholders and ensuing meeting of the board of directors, both scheduled for late June. The names of the directors and corporate officers are listed below.

1. Changes to the lineup of directors, scheduled for April 1, 2007
(agreed on February 22)

New position classifications are provided in replacement of position classifications used for some directors, effective April 1, 2007.

Note: On March 31, 2007, Tadamasa Ishida will resign as a director with the right to represent NYK, and also retire as a corporate officer. Motoo Igawa and Susumu Kikuchi will resign as corporate officers at the expiration of their terms of service.
