NYK Logistics (Hong Kong) Limited announces the setting up of PRC domestics trucking company in Shenzhen of People Republic of China.

Hong Kong,December 3rd 2004 - Under the 'Closer Economic Partnership Agreement' (CEPA) scheme granted by the Central Government of PRC to Hong Kong companies, NYK Logistics (Hong Kong) Limited is expanding its investment in Shenzhen of People Republic of China.
NYK Logistics (Hong Kong) Limited has recently received the green light from the Shenzhen Bureau of Trade and Industry to operate a container haulage and land transport company in PRC under the CEPA scheme. This is a 100% investment from NYK. The move does not only add flying colors to its logistics services package in the PRC but also a reflection of the continuous effort of NYK Logistics (Hong Kong) Limited to establish a comprehensive logistics solution for its customer in the PRC. With the newly approved permit, the company can establish a 100% owned transportation fleet in the PRC instead of relying on the service provided by sub-contractors while other service providers may still need to rely on.
NYK Logistics (Hong Kong) Limited 's activities in the Southern part of PRC can date back to a decade ago when it established its first foothold in Chiwan of Shenzhen in 1995, following by its set up in the Yantian, Futian, Fuzhou bonded zone providing consolidation and distribution services. The new operation under CEPA license would extend NYK's logistics capability outside bonded zone.
