NYK to Establish "NYK Line Japan Ltd."

Nippon Yusen Kaisha Ltd. (NYK) and its affiliate, Tokyo Senpaku Kaisha, Ltd., have decided to spin off their respective domestic liner service operations and related businesses, to set up "NYK Line Japan Ltd.," a domestic general agency, which is to commence operations on April 1, 2005.
The purpose of this spin off is to form a group of experts who can precisely grasp customer's needs and offer a speedy, safe, and reliable service.
NYK will continue to expand its domestic liner service further and take efforts to improve customer satisfaction.
