Newbuilding Plans
| (1) | A total of 160 newbuildings worth Yen770 billion are scheduled over five years from fiscal 2003 through fiscal 2007. |
| (2) | In addition, the acquisition of 17 used vessels (worth about Yen20 billion), including one Cape-size bulker, is scheduled over two years from fiscal 2003 through fiscal 2004. |
| (3) | As for investment from fiscal 2006, NYK is preparing for positive involvement in large-scale bidding projects related to LNG development in such areas as Qatar and Sakhalin. |
