NYK Transport Service (Thailand) Recognized for Safe Operations

On 31st August, NYK Transport Service (THAILAND) Co., Ltd. (NYK T/S), was presented an award from their main customer, SCC-Dow Group (a company affiliated with Dow Chemical in Thailand), in recognition of the fact that warehousing/transportation operations at the Maptaphut Logistics Center (MTPLC) remained free of accidents for 500,000 working hours.
MTPLC, a division of NYK T/S launched in 1998, provides warehousing and transportation, including tank lorry operations, to customers chiefly in chemical industries, and has made great strides in improving the safety of their operations.
As a result, NYK T/S became the first warehouse operator in Thailand to obtain ISO9002 (on April 10, 2001), OHSAS18001 (on October 19, 2001), and ISO 14001 (on June 4, 2002). We truly believe that these achievements will enable NYK T/S to provide high quality services to our precious customers in Thailand.
