NYK In-House Agency in Vancouver

We are pleased to announce the formation of NYK Line (Western Canada) Inc., located in Vancouver, BC (President:Yutaka Nagashima). Effective August 1, 2002 the new Canadian affiliate office of NYK Line will begin providing full in-house agency services for its container operations by terminating its agency agreement with Greer Shipping Ltd.
In collaboration with our Toronto based affiliate, NYK Line (Canada) Inc., NYK will endeavor to effectively provide its customers with a more seamless service. Working in conjunction with other NYK group companies situated in North America, NYK hopes to expand its logistics and Megacarrier expertise to include Western Canada.
Uninterrupted service will be provided to our customers in the transition from Greer to NYK since most of the key employees of the new NYK unit will be reassigned from Greer Shipping. Greer Shipping will continue to undertake the agency responsibilities of NYK's tramp services in the region. Under the double wing logo and banner of NYK Logistics & Megacarrier, we will continue to provide our customers with the highest level of quality service that they enjoyed under Greer management.
