NYK Line Renews Time-charter Contract with ExxonMobil for VLCC Takase

NYK Line is pleased to announce that the time-charter contract for the VLCC Takase (DWT 314,250MT / Built 1999 / Mitsui S.B./ Double Hull) was renewed in January 2002 with Standard Tankers Bahamas Limited (STB), the international chartering subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation. The VLCC Takase was originally time-chartered by Tonen tanker and the contract was transferred to STB in July 2000.

NYK Line sees this contract renewal as a substantial first in the advancement of its business relationship with ExxonMobil and aims to further strengthen its association with ExxonMobil in a variety of fields.
